New assisted living and memory care community coming to south Des Moines
Hubbell Realty Company Breaking Ground on Edencrest at Riverwoods
West Des Moines, IA (May 2, 2013) – Hubbell Realty Company, along with equity partner Persimmon Capital Partners, Washington D.C., has announced that it will open a 40 apartment assisted living and memory care community in Des Moines, Iowa. Edencrest at Riverwoods will be located at 2210 East Park Avenue, Des Moines, IA. The community is scheduled to open in April 2014.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on May 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at 2210 East Park Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50320.
Edencrest at Riverwoods will be a certified assisted living community through the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. The new community will feature private apartments as well as common areas including a central dining room with restaurant style dining, exercise room, beauty salon and private gathering areas for family and friends.
The community will also offer a specialized, secured environment for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The secured memory care is designed to meet the needs of individuals who require supervision and/or assistance with activities of daily living, through daily programming.
A unique combination of housing, support services, personal assistance and healthcare is delivered in a residential environment that is staffed with trained professionals 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The community will also have a full time Registered Nurse, Community Manager, Life Enrichment Coordinator and Culinary Coordinator.
Edencrest at Riverwoods is being built by Hubbell Construction services and managed by Senior Housing Management based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Senior Housing Management provides management for 12 other communities in Iowa.
